But despite Ib not being too scary at all, I still loved every second of it. I really had trouble taking horror of any kind. I gotta be honest, Ib is probably one of my favorite games I've recently played. This doesn't bother me too much, but if you want to play this game, I feel like this is worth pointing out. If you're the type of person who wants to play games over and over to see different endings, than aside from those specific requirements for said endings, you are going to know this game like the back of your hand by the third or maybe forth playthrough. By the second playthrough, I knew all of the puzzles already and beat it in about 45 minutes, along with meeting the requirements for getting the true ending. My first playthrough was blind and took about three hours. Yeah, I played through this game twice before typing this. Also, you could breeze through this game if you already know all the puzzles.Īfter I beat the game, I beat it again in a significantly shorter amount of time. Stuff like talking to Garry seven or more times in a certain room. In order to get endings that aren't just the normal one, very specific things must be done. Lastly, I think it's worth mentioning that this game has multiple endings. So I like to think that she's selfless and surprisingly mature for her age, she also tries to get everyone to get along and she's surprisingly good at puzzles.Īgain, not a lot of characters, but the main three we have are oh so lovable. Other than that, we only have dialogue choices and official art to go off of. Of course, she's nine years old, and it is shown in-game that there are words that she can't read and concepts she can't understand. Now she is trapped in an ominous world where art is alive, and she's determined to find a way out and maybe find friends along the way!Įventually, you'll find a little red rose. Seemingly at a loss for what to do, Ib does as the gallery says and jumps through a painting in the floor portraying the deep blue sea. Not to mention how it seems like the art itself is. At one point, she comes across a very peculiar painting, and that's where things go wrong.Īfter observing the painting, she finds that everyone in the art gallery has disappeared, including her parents, and eventually so do the lights.

Anyways, our young protagonist gets permission from her mother to wander off on her own and take in the sights of all the art. His work is symbolic and sometimes a little abstract.
